Conferences | A core objective of the International Alliance for Cultural Relations is to implement coordinated and joint activities among the member organisations in the field of practice and education of cultural relations. Since its foundation the Alliance co-organises academic meetings which serve as a meeting point for researchers, decision-makers and cultural relations practitioners active in the field of international and cultural relations. The IACR also facilitates scientific discourse by organising academic events on international level and with its member organisations and by promoting such activities implemented by its members.
Long-term projects | A wide range of professionalised programmes offer opportunities for European and international youth workers, organisation staff, educators, trainers, facilitators and other professionals in order to develop personal competences, organisational capacities, exchange of ideas and to implement mobility programmes internationally and local activities all around the world.
Short-term projects | One of the main priorities of the International Alliance for Cultural Relations is to organise events aimed at strengthening cooperation and to organise educational and professional presentations and practical exchange of experiences. In order to fulfil this aim, the IACR supports and implements various activities that are funded by its member organisations or by international grants. The member organisations of the Alliance have long experience in writing, applying and implementing numerous large-scale projects effecting different communities locally and on the international level. This experience and know-how had been transferred and being utilised in the work of the Alliance which makes it possible to build a substantial basis for further development and to create opportunities for individuals and organisations to benefit from our research, educational and youth projects.
Local activities | The International Alliance for Cultural Relations (IACR) engages in various local activities that align with its long-term and short-term objectives of fostering cooperation and facilitating educational and professional growth. These local activities are deeply rooted in the Alliance’s extensive experience and expertise in managing large-scale projects at both local and international levels. For short-term initiatives, the IACR organises events such as networking meetings, training sessions for professionals working with youth, dissemination and follow-up activities. These activities are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of young people and those working with them, often involving international partners to provide a broader perspective. On the long-term spectrum, the IACR supports local activities that aim to build personal competences and organisational capacities among youth workers, educators, trainers, and other professionals. These include comprehensive programmes that facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences, thereby contributing to the professional development of individuals and strengthening the capabilities of participating organisations. Through these local activities, the IACR not only enhances the impact of its projects but also creates sustainable opportunities for continuous learning and collaboration.
